Here I write about the faithfulness of God in my life
and in the lives of saints throughout the ages.
I seek to help us all to take our faith from our heads,
down into our hearts (where we can feel it)
and then to our feet (where we live it)!

Gifts of Lent: Rest from Perfect
As recently illustrated in the Barbie movie, the modern woman (and perhaps all women) can turn themselves inside out trying to perfect being perfect. In the end, not only is it not possible, it isn’t even helpful. The only way to perfect anything is with God. He promises perfect peace and perfect faithfulness. What could be more perfect?

Gifts of Lent: Remember God’s promises are for YOU, too!
Sometimes it’s easier to encourage others than to be encouraged. Sometimes it feels like God’s promises are for everyone else. Sometimes we need to preach ourselves a sermon on all that God has promised US! Sometimes is now.

Gifts of Lent: Remember this world is not our Home
We all like to feel at home. It feeds our natural desire to be comfortable. But where you invest your treasure: time, fortune, gifts will end up feeling like home. So this Lenten season let’s remember that this world is not our Home.

Gifts of Lent: Resting from the Usual
How often do we do things out of habit? We can go through our days, weeks, lives without asking why. Jesus challenged the way a lot of people thought about God. Which shouldn’t be a surprise since God said way back in Isaiah that His thoughts and ways were higher than ours. This Lenten season, let’s take a rest from operating on autopilot.

Gifts of Lent: Remember You are Loved!
Lenten Series: Rest & Remember
The most important thing to remember this Lenten (and every) season: You are dearly loved by your Heavenly Father!

Gifts of Lent: Rest as we Walk with Jesus
Lenten Series: Rest & Remember
It’s easy to forget, in our “pick yourself up by the bootstraps” world, that God never intended for us to walk through it alone. Jesus said, “Come to Me, learn from Me and I will give you rest.”
